Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Where to find 5'' downpipe

I want a full 5'' system and i cant find anywhere to get just a 5'' downpipe. i dont know how many people have this on a second gen or if it can be done, but id really like to do it. on the negative side it was quite hard to get one transmission bolt out seeing that exhaust is near touching the bellhousing. also the shop that i always have do my exhaust informed me that dual 5'' is not possible even if you remove the spare tire, i have a hard time believing that, so can anyone set the record straight?

There probably isn't much out there since most 5" downpipes are on twins setups and probably come with the package. So you might check around with vendors who sell twins. I'm guessing you have twins by you signature.



5" downpipes aren't a good idea for singles because they cause a loss of low-end response going to a big pipe right off the turbo.

probably not because it's not necessary, but it's easy to build one, and it fits just fine

I built my own 5" down pipe on my 97 (single turbo). Tight fit between the bellhousing and frame rail.

Try sourceautomotive. biz I think I seen 5 inch exhaust from turbo back there if I am not mistaken. I'm sure Rip would make one up for you if you ask.

so complete 5'' turbo back is out there, but is it possible to have dual 5''

Try and call PDR diesel they offer a full 5" with there big twin set-up. Maybe they can help you out.
