Going on the fact that many folks are using needle valves as snubbers and since I've just ordered a new Dakota Digital FP guage... .

What kind of shop does a guy find these needle valves at?

I don't want to have to order anything, particularly since I'm in Canada and I'm on a short timeframe to get this in before we hit the road on vacation.

If I know what type of shop normally carries these things, I can head into town and have a look around.

Thanks,

Shawn

i got mine at the local NAPA store. i would imagine any good auto parts store should have it. mine is 1/8" male pipe on one end and 1/8" female pipe on the other. basically a pass through design. you can then thread in your tube fitting, grease gun hose or whatever type of pressure sender device you plan on using.

it should look something like this

hope this helps

Thanks Jim - that does help.

One question - at NAPA, what category would the valve fall under if one were looking in a catalog?

thanks,

Shawn

good question shawn.

the one i got was in the Weatherhead product line. it will have a number like 4800 x 4 x 6 or something in that format.

i will take a guess that you should look for a listing like "fittings" .

good luck

Find your local Swagelok Tube Fitting Dealer. They make some of the nicest valves and tube fittings here is. Available in S. S, brass or a few other exotic materials. If your are in Calgary there will be at least one vendor.
