I have all autometer ultra lite guages and went to jegs.com to get a fuel pressure guage and an electric one was $190. Is this correct or have you guys found a better source. It does not have to be autometer.

Thanks!!

About $70 for a Westach FP gauge from Geno's... I installed mine over three years ago and it works great... :)

Summit also has Nordskog electric gauges. You can click it like a trip meter and it will give you a hi/low readout so you don't miss anything. Mine works real well. I believe the readout is avaiable in red, green or amber. Just another option.

I like some others think that the AUTOMETER gages are a very good choice. I am not for putting mechanical fuel gages inside of trucks, I just don't think fuel belongs in the cab. The ones that use an isolator, or electrical sender are fine. I have a PRIM-LOC and I installed two mech gages, one pre and one post filter. They are both located under the hood, which isn't as convenient as in the cab, but I think wiser. They are great for letting me know when to change my fuel filter, just look for the pressure differential. It seems you can't just go by a set time, or mileage, I have had to replace them with as little as 1500 miles on the new one. There seems to be alot of places that have very dirty tanks, and apparently they do not use a filter.

Best prices and best service. Stick with the autometer you won't go wrong.

Let's see... Autometer from Geno's = $179-$192... Westach from Geno's = $69... Is Autometer really worth an extra $110-$122???:D

I've used a $9 liquid filled stainless steel water pressure gauge, a $4 needle valve and $3 worth of boost tubing and fittings on several rigs, not a lick of trouble. My own less than $20 FP gauge set ups mounted low on the dash have worked flawlessly for six years.

There is no lighting but no big deal, it's not a gauge you need to watch all the time.

$20 gauge

Illflem,

Give me the details on the $20 guage setup.

I agree, you don't look at this guage all the time.

Can be under hood for all I care.
