Can anyone tell me where I can find a high quality full replacement grille with the tubular horizontal rails for that billet grille look? I currently have some China made cheap aluminum rails that fit in place of the honey comb stuff. They did not fit at all, so I had to modify them and epoxy them to the stock grille. 10 months later they are falling off. This is for a 2nd gen truck.

Good question. I am also looking for something to replace the plastic grill 'frame' and honeycomb grill on the front of my 99. The pseudo chrome / plastic laminate that covers the grill frame started wrinkling about two years ago. Not sure if it's from the mag chloride or the temperature extremes but it's starting to look like crap. A full stainless or aluminum replacement would be ideal.

I bought mine on E-bay and they fit perfectly. While rebuilding my truck I bought a second complete grill, removed the insert and bought and installed a new aluminum insert I had powder coated white. I also had the bumper inserts powder coated white.

Here't the 'wrinkling' I'm talking about. This didn't start until I moved to Colorado about 4 years ago. Keeps getting worse every year. I think it's from the mag chloride on the highway. Maybe from driving in sub zero temps in the mountains but I doubt it. Anyone else have this problem? An all stainless frame with OE or billet style grill would be nice but I don't think anybody makes one.

Kvaughn - I noted the same problem on mine this year. A couple of years ago I had a run in with a Dodge Neon. He was totaled and on fire and I had a displaced front end. In the end I had the front of my truck replaced and I'm sure it was with the cheap s!@# made in China crap. Anyway my grill is doing the very same thing. It has been very cold here in western NY and they do use an excessive amount of "salt" on the roads; black truck looks mostly white this year between the snow and salt.

I have never had that problem but I live in So. Cal. the grills are so cheap on E-bay and they are easy to replace, I would just buy a new one and keep it waxed to keep the chemicals from getting between the plating and the plastic base.

Those are just inserts, need a whole replacement. I guess an option is to get a cheap OE one and do it again.

Putco offers full grill replacements as well as just the inserts. Look in jcwhitney. Don't have the catalog nearby, but they used to carry the full replacements.

The chrome one's on e-bay for $54. 95 do not include the Ram's Head. Is this transferable from the stock grill?

BTW, dealer wants $292. 00 for a OEM replacment.
