During overhaul I discovered that one of the c-clamps that hold the exhaust turbine housing to the main body is missing (as is a bolt) and that the metal gasket between the exhaust housing and exhaust pipe (5 bolt gasket by waste gate) is cracked.

I need to locate a source for these parts. Anyone?

Please provide your Engine Serial Number, I'll look it up here at home and give you current part number and prices.

If is not the stock turbo, then will have to do something different.

I'll be on for another 1/2 hour or so if you want me to try it.

Mike.

This is the parts breakdown for a HXY35 Holset. No illustration will come up for me tonight, will try to score a matching picture from Cummins tomorrow if you want. Let me know. Will need your ESN as well.

In otherwords you can get it all at Cummins.

For this turbo the gasket is 3535001.

The bolt would be 3759917.

Clamping plate is 3534309.

Thanks for the reply.
Surprisingly I found that Cummins could supply me the gasket. (I didn't know Cummins owned Holset)
The clamp is not available from anywhere so I fired up the plasma cutter and made one.
Everything is back together and running.

Well, back to square one. Looking for the clamp in the photo. I have not been able to find this clamp nor successfully describe it. So, here is a photo of the one that is still on the turbo. I fabricated one but it has "disappeared" along with the bottom bolt.

I never did get your ESN, but really should to be 100% sure.

If your turbo is the one I used for reference then... ... ... .

The bolt would be 3759917.

Clamping plate is 3534309.

Cummins Northeast has a clamping plate in stock at the Buffalo, NY store.

They also have 4 of the bolts at that location.

I can check their inventory from home, just can't check the factory's stock.

Get me your ESN when you get a chance.

Mike. :)

Sorry, I thought I had sent that. Must have been suffering from "olds-heimers". I appreciate the help.

Doug,

There is no graphic for the parts list I provided in December above, however the part numbers are correct for your ESN, I always feel better double checking before I pronounce etched in stone part numbers... ... ... ;)

I did take the clamp number and went backwards in the Cummins program until I found a graphic of a turbo that uses that part number just as a reference tool. Even though the graphic is not for your specific turbo it still uses the same clamping plates and bolts as yours.

I have attached it here.

So the part numbers I have provided are good, you need (1) 3534309 Clamping Plate and (2) 3759917 bolts. Items 22 and 24 below.

Let me know if you want me to have Cummins Northeast check factory stock on these parts in the morning, then you will be able to pick who you want in Illinois to order them from Cummins for you.

Just called Cummins Northeast and had them check factory stock, Cummins Plant in Tennesee has several plates and tons of bolts on hand.

Pick who you want to order them for you, if you don't have a Cummins Distributor close by then try an OEM truck or equipment dealer that sells or uses any Cummins B or C powered products.

Mike. :)

Great! Thanks for all the help Mike.
I've got a couple of distributors I can use so long as I know what I want.
I'll give them a call this morning.
