I'm thinking seriously about running stacks on my 93 W350,cause now that I've seen it done on one here,I've been looking at that over and over thinking, heck ya I can do that. So where in the world can I get the flexpipe and the stacks? Cheaper the better :p

Jimmy

flex pipe at any big truck supply or through somewhere like JC Whitney, Summit, etc. etc.

the best place I've found for stacks is on ebay... they're usually about $100 per pair... you can pay $75-150 a piece at most truck supply houses!!!

Forrest

Jimmy, check around your local big truck parts stores, big truck junk yards- they also sell new stacks. I paid $50 per 5"stack. 3" flex can be had from about anywhere, parts store, online etc.

chromedepot.com

You might want to check out chrome depot A frind of my has a set from them they are sweet If I wasnt broke I would buy a set from them I'm pretty sure they dont have any pic's on there site of that set but it's worth the time to check them out.

Zach, great looking ride! Non-intercooled, p-pumped, HX-40'd there's hope for us old non-ic guys!! What's the deal with you intake? BTW welcome to the TDR!

cooler

Thank you, well that would be an water to air cooler, the tank in the bed is for it, about two bags of ice and a little water and look out, Im trying to figure out how to intercool it too, with the boost the truck build's and the miles I drive everyday I need to cool it, plus more power Oo. So if any of you guy's know any good ways of intercooling, im looking for all the help I can get sort of buying a banks system.

While you're playing under there with the exhaust, this would be as good a time as any to upgrade to a 4" system. You can buy the parts fairly cheap, and cut and weld as needed. be a tight fit under that 4x4 though.

Daniel

I would have to agree with Daniel on the 4'' and it is a tight fit on a 4x4 you have to smash the pipe to get it by the transfer case that is one of the reasons I only have a single stack, mine is ran on the outside of the frame rail, so i wouldnt have to smash the pipe.

you can run the water through a heat exchanger up front... an extra AC condenser works well... remember, water has a few hundred times the thermal capacity of air, so even if the water is 20-30* warmer than the air, it'll still cool BETTER than an air/air cooler.

Forrest

I've been kicking around the idea as well. Actually I have everything except for the actual chrome stacks. ;) I just can't decide to go ahead and do it. My wife almost made my mind up though. She said she couldn't believe I would do that to my truck. She said it sounded like something a red neck would do. I said "Hey that's me". :D

My biggest problem is moving the tool box back 6+". That will make my quad sit on the tail gate when I haul it.

You might be able to get a custom toolbox done so the pipes would go through it or your quad could ride on it.

My friend in canada makes snowmobile parts but he's branching off to toolboxes and other things made out of aluminum. He made a really neat aux fuel tank that has a fold down center section so that a guys quad or snowmobile could drive up onto it.

I'm sure you could get a local welder to cut the ends off your toolbox so the stacks would fit.

Tell me how you did it??

I had the same idea... . tell me how you did it???

well, it's not hard just bring your down pipe over to the outside of the frame rail if you look at my pic's you should be able to see it, if not I will take some more pic's to help you out

Downpipe outside the frame?

Do you suppose you can post a few pics of this? I can't tell by the in your "Reader's Rigs" pics.

Thanks!
