Where to install Tee.

I'm going to change coolant this weekend and I want to install a flush out tee. Which heater hose do I install it in, the one closest to the valve covers or the other one. Also, does anyone use some kind of flush additive or just flush. I have been changing coolant every 24K miles and the radiator is new but don't mind going the extra mile for this motor.



Also is anybody using some kind of lubricant in the antifreeze?

I only use ES Complete 50/50 mix from Cummins.

I put mine in the line running from the top of the thermostat to the heater. I also replaced those heater hoses with silicone hoses. It has worked well for about 7 or 8 years. I like the idea of flushing the heater core when I flush.

Jim, here's a pic. Can't remember the hose routing off hand, but I think its the one that runs near the T-stat housing. It is the one closer to the valve covers. If your system is really gunked up in your radiator, you might want to buy the stuff that you run in your radiator for a couple of days to really break up the gunk, then buy at least two bottles of flush to run the flush and garden hose technique. 5/8" tee. BTW the ball water shutoff vavle pictured to left is in place of the junk oem vacuum actuated shutoff valve. Bill

I have only had the Evans in a short time. I run a stock cap for the time being. I waiting on a 3 PSI Cap. I have run the Evans in my Kubota G1800, New Holland TC35 and my mazda RX-7 with excellant results. You just have to get over the 25/gallon Sticker shock
