Tow/haul turning off on its own?

I've looked around and can't see any really good answers for my application. 2013 2500 Mega cab. Where would be the best place to mount one? I have one of the Buell compressors, so I'm not sure mounting exterior can happen. I don't really want to mount it in the bed either. Any suggestions on places I haven't thought of?
Thanks
Craig

I mounted one on my 03 on the outside of the frame about under the back door and then enclosed it with a battery box. I welded the bracket to the frame. I know most of the purest are against that but at this point in that trucks life as a farm truck that was the best option for me.

I too have been struggling with where to mount compressor on my 13 as I am ready for air bags for it.

My buddy has it behind the seat on his 2014 crew cab. I have mine on the inside of the box side at the front passenger side. You could mount it between the outside box sheetmetal and the inside box wall bolted through the box wall so that it is up in the fender and out of the elements. This will transmit the sound pretty good though since I have mine in the box on the inside of the box wall as to the outside where I'm suggesting you to put it. I can hear mine loud and clear when it is running since the box walls vibrate and resonate the sound pretty good, but it doesn't bother me. Of course mine is a dually and I could hide kids up in there (small son is good for standing up in there and pushing the bolts through for you:-laf) so I have lots of room. I have never looked up in a single rear wheel truck, so this suggestion may be no help at all.

Is there enough room to mount it inside one of the floor storage bins???

Only floor storage I have is the small space behind the seat. Don't have the floor (under feet) storage.

If I mounted it high... Under the bed, between the frame rails, would there still be too much road spray do you think? I just don't want any issues.

A friend of mine over on CF recently took delivery of his 2014 RAM 2500 6.4L HEMI Crew Cab 4x4 w/Air Ride.....here's some pics of his compressor location. Just something to toss around....

Pulled the trigger today... Just fabbed up some brackets and went to work. Mounted the compressor and air solenoid in the wheel well on the passenger side. Mounted the horns behind the middle step bar bracket on the passenger side. Here's the final product.

I'd run a stabilizing bracket from the bed's hat section reinforcement to the mounting plate to quell vibration and movement of the mount.

I mounted my compressor and solenoid in the same spot inside the frame rail of the drivers side as the stock compressor location show above. I've driven it in the rain twice now and I don't see any sign of water on the compressor yet.

Hopefully, Kilby will will design an onboard air system using a York style compressor soon. Last I looked, Kibly only makes kits up to 06-early 07.
