2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Where to purchase 3rd gen track bar kit?

I am trying to find a adjustable 3rd gen track bar kit for my 98. Who sells them and who has the best price?

I got my 3rd gen adj bar a few weeks ago at www.pscmotorsports,com. Their bar will allow up to 3 in lift. There are other track bars available also, like DT PRO FAb, Thuren, and Lindstat. A good source for the Solid Steel Adj Track bar (that PSC sells) is Source Automotive Performance Diesel. Here is a link for the PSC Solid Steel adj track bar that I got:

I also got the 3rd gen Track bar bracket, DSS steering stabilizer and the PSC 3 1/2 turn steering box. Very nice setup. Truck drives great now.



Edit: I just realized you want the bracket too. I got mine at PSC but just now I can't find it on their site. You may have to call. They are always having trouble stocking them. If they don't carry them any more try Source Automotive Performance Diesel.



Edit Update (2/21/2008): The link for the PSC TB doesn't work anymore. It looks like they stopped carring the SS 3rd gen TB bracket and the SS 3rd gen TB. There seem to be SS knockoffs around that are cheaper than SS. Your pick, but I'd recommend SS parts for fit and function.

I hear ya Sam. I went whole hog throwing these parts at the front end to defeat this tire eating front end trouble. I hope this works. The only thing left (barring tie rods or ball joint failure) is convert to cross-over steering. Also, I have considered changing the front springs that are sagging to see if that improves the stiffness on bumpy roads.



So far I like this new PSC box and the DSS and 3rd gen bar. It's made a big improvement over stock.

They did the replacement with the Solid Steel DSS Brace,Lower Control Arms and 3rd Generation Trac Bar Kit. When I was told by one of the best mechanics about my truck wandering when he drove it I laughed,until I drove his,then I knew I needed to go over mine. I had previously used a Lukes Link and Energy Suspension Bushing on my trac bar and felt it was tight,boy was I wrong. I am glad I used the SS parts and got my truck to what it should have been from Ma Mopar... ... Andy

Not sure who you are referring to here but I used the SS adjustable TB and SS bracket both from PSC but PSC doesn't have them anymore. They are a good product. Well worth it and the adjustable one allows a lift later. The adj TB cost me about $100 more when I did it but well worth it. I like the 3rd gen bar that eliminates the ball joint on the frame end. Now its a bolt thru bushing... . no more worn ball joint to worry about.



Edit:If you want the Solid Steel TB, I would recommend getting the SS TB bracket and SS Adj TB from RIP at Source Automotive:

Just did mine. SS bolt in bracket, and the adj bar from Don Thuren. Takes about two weeks to get the bar, but it's worth it.

I'm with everyone else here. I fought the dreaded front end demons for years, throwing everything under the sun at it, ball joints, bearings, aftermarkey control arms, 3 MOOG POS stock design track bars, drag links and on and on - FINALLY the steering stabilizer bracket & bearing and 3rd gen adj trackbar & bracket did it. It now is, as mentioned above, like it should have been from Ma DC - SCHA-WEET!!!
