Well this morning I was replacing the air filter and cracked the bottom plastic air filter housing. It's all stock. I called the Dodge dealership and they were going to charge $119 for a replacement! Highway robbery! Anybody know where I can get one cheaper? I tried Geno's Garage but they didn't carry it.

Another question is when I do replace the bottom housing, will I have to also take of the plastic fender skirt in the fender well?

Thanks all in advance.

the skirt should be the same it just pops out

and theres some of air filter boxes in pay it foward and in the classifieds.

Just Go BHAF and you wont need it.

How many miles are on the truck?

I did the exact same thing to mine one really cold January day, and got it warrented by the local dealer.

I run the NAPA 6637, smaller of the BHAFs. Drilled and installed the filter minder in the far end. Fits nicely on the fender. I got the Outwears and Larry-B turbo heat shield. Come for a little drive up to La Conner and bring a NAPA 6637 filter, I will cut you a piece of SS 4" pipe to go inside the filter neck and give you a piece of marine mat to go under the filter.

I can also take you for a ride in a truck with a Full DTT transmission, mild injectors and Comp in EZ mode. "NO MAYBE YOU SHOULD NOT DO THAT!" SNOKING

I've got 74K on it but have the 100K/5 year warranty. He said that it wasn't covered. I say BS. What did you say to the dealer?

Hey SnoKing I might just take you up on that! For now money is tight but I'd like to go to the BHAF sometime after I recover from the holidays. Let's keep in touch.

Thanks!
