Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Where to send pump?

I have a 180 injection pump that is completly stock 96 2500 auto transmission.



I want it to flow atleast 500cc... . where is a good place to send it? What can I expect to pay for these services? And what do they generally do to get there?

Schied Diesel is a good one... . have used them a bunch... another good one is Signature Fuel in Billings MT. These guys will do whatever you want done to a pump and at a decent price. I work for an ag dealership and some of the guys that do tractor pulling send stuff up there.

Another one closer to you is, Northeast Diesel in Cape Girardeau, MO. I dealt with them for years before I started using Scheid, when I lived back east.

ive got 490 out of mine, you prob wont get much more than that with a 180 pump. that was tested and run on a 15hp certified bosch pump stand.

Bandit1, What did it take to get to that 490?

no machining, just some very slick work by the shop that we deal with. i have a custom cut plate, afc mods, 4gsk, their cut dv's and some precision tuning. they spent 4 hrs on it. each gov takes a dif combination of springs to be precise and to work properly. it is be far the best mod i have done to the truck. it runs so much better and just woke the motor up. i gained 100hp from that mod. with very conservative timing.

A 180 calif pump =563hp with a little tuning, 4k kit, custom plate, 370s and 191dvs timing at 18. 0.

Are marine pumps any better or the same as 215 pumps?

haha i hear ya andy. i am not spreading their name, per their wishes. i have not given the name to anyone and i will not. so when does your pump go to the shop? and when is the special work you are having to the clean machine goign one, make sure pics are taken, i want to see the process and finally get to take a ride in the truck and see how it helps. j

I took my 180 to Schied and am very happy with their work. I got around 450cc from mine but i heard their pump stand is usually a little lower than what that same pump might do on a different stand. But am very happy with their work.
