Where to stay in Sedona AZ?

I'm heading to Phoenix next week to pick up a Wells Cargo trailer. Planning on staying in Sedona and making the run to the valley to pick up the trailer and back again that evening. Any suggestions on accomodations in the area? Lots of places to look at on the net, but not looking for a place with strolling violins or Motel 6, just somewhere in between.

Sedona is a really nice place but may be hard to find reasonable motel rooms there. 20 miles south is Cottonwood and they are way more normal as far as not being geared to the tourist dollar. There is a Indian casino right out of Cottonwood too if that is of interest. A nice new road between Sedona and Cottonwood too.

The Sedona Golf Resort is awesome. I was able to get a pretty decent rate through priceline there.
