Im getting my truck painted very soon and need to find a RAM HEAD for my hood. Does anyone have one they would part with or know were I could find one??? And also were is a good "cheap" place to find after market parts/decals??? Any help is most appreciated in my quest to build my dream 1'st Generation Ram :D

92' 2500 excab dually, pump tweaked 30%, bd pyro and boost gauges,

Shane,

Get onto EBay. There is almost always a Rams head available. The ones I've noticed will usually end up around $35-$40. You can also find other badges and decals every now and then.

Hey phil,

thanks for the info. Where is the airbox and how do you "swiss cheese" this part for extra sound? And is this going to effect performance?

Chrysler still sells them... . unfortunately I've had to go through a number of them... . currently I'm on my 4th one... some doorknob keeps stealing them off the truck...

On the up side. I got about 4 springs and clips rattling around inside the hood when I lift it, just in case I happen to need another spring or clip..... I GOTTA find a solution to this...

OH, sorry, I digress... . just try giving a Chrysler dealer a call.

Up here I've paid about $50. 00 Canadian for them

pb... .

I thought we were goint to hot wire the ram head to a electric fencer, Bob? you know durn well its not a dodge guy steeling the ram head, and if it is its a friend of yours that you would like to see have a shocking experiance... ... . has Flip, er I mean Mark been hanging around causing problems again?? :-laf :-laf :D

Sorry I can't help you on the ram head. Had to prod on the good pastor though. Durn, there goes some more hp. :{

Ebay will have them, dealer will have them at $60. DO NOT buy the junk JC Whitney goat head. It junk and a one piece turd, not spring loaded. You'd have to drill new holes as well. BTW you have a 250 not a 2500, ya need to change your sig bro, I could only hold back for so long, was waiting for someone else to catch it or say something:D.

I perfer to call this "enhancing the flow" of the airbox.

I used a 2 1/2" hole saw (largest I had) and commenced to drillin'. I can't give any difinative numbers for performance... . but the filter now gets dirty in many places, and before it was just one small spot... so I have to think it helped out.

It does increase turbo whistle just a scosh :-laf

MMiller..... Oooooo... . livin on the edge dude !!! ;);):D

I was all set and good with the idea of a mercury switch connected to an auto high voltage ignition coil... . until. . Mrs. pastor pointed out that if she was the one to take the megaVolts, she'd get up off the ground and commence to kicking the doors in... . she made a good point...

Hmmmmm ornament... doors... ornament... doors... . ahhhhhhh crap !!! :D:D

pb... .

You just have to make it hot enough so they can't get up for a while. Then when the tingling sensation goes away they have had enough time to think maybe the doors will do that too!!!

I found a solution to the missing Ram's head.

I took it off, and flipped it over. I drilled 2 holes, 1/8 inch each, in front of and behind the spring load mechanism. I then inserted a pop rivet in each hole.

It disables the spring load effect, but it makes it near impossible to rip off. Make sure you close your hood before backing out of the garage; if it catches on the bottom of the garage door, it's going to hurt something instead of popping off the Ram's head!

I've not lost one yet with this trick. :p

jc whitney. with lighted eyes or regular they don't have a spring loaded head they mount rigid. I have never had one stolen.
