As an outsider to the feud, it looked like both Rob and Evan had strong feelings about the discussion of the Thread. Its still a crying shame that Rob isn't welcomed to post his opinions when an opinion is asked for in the first place. One of the first personal e-mails I received from any TDR member after I started posting, was from Rob and I don't think you could find a more sincere and decent person out there in cyber world than he is. Rob lived in the town I now live in for years and we've had numerous discussions about all the changes that have been made here since he left. I personally would like to see some pride swallowed, crow eaten, feelers massaged, or whatever it takes to let Rob back on and continue to share a little of his knowledge with some of us that aren't quite as knowledgable in many of these subjects. Probably won't mean anything, but just my 2 cents worth.

I may get thrown off here myself, but I don't like it when the good guys leave.



Oh boy, here I go..... Evan is a young man. Nothing wrong with that, but he hasn't done the laps some of us have run. Rob is a trench guy. He knows what he believes, and nobody is going to move him off the mark without adequately demonstrating him (to his satisfaction) that is is in error. Nothing wrong with that either.



(Kinda like me with my son, Brent 26, a few years back. ) Gonna visit him Wednesday in Colorado for my birthday. I got a few white hairs.



Now if we can pull the old 'common sense shaker' off the shelf, maybe we can make this situation into a good thing - you know, a win-win.



Perhaps if Evan remembers that he previously called himself 'punk' (and he is) and Rob realizes that most of us old farts know he could actually turn punk into real fuel (he has sage advise), well... ... ... ... ... .



hey, I'm tryin. Kissin' and makin' up is not my style either. But, carryin' a hard-on over simple words isn't mine as well.



And, divisiveness doesn't help the NW Dodge boys as being the best.



If the administration will prop the door open and you two hardheads will march back in... ...

and yes I can call and visit Rob anytime since we live so close but damn it the TDR BB is not the same.

Rob withdrew from the NW Bombers site as well over the same issue.



As much as you guys would like him to come back, I feel that continuing this thread and pushing him on about it will not accomplish the desired outcome. On the contrary, I think it's more like picking at wound. It only makes it bigger.



For now, let's give this one a rest. Let's stop trying to get Rob to do what Rob doesn't want to do. We value his friendship, and I see no benefit to ruining that by trying to push, shove, shame, cajole, or otherwise try to make him do something against his will.



Instead, for those of you who are NW Bombers, I suggest we have an informal get-together to do some work on Rob's place down here - show him he's still our friend. With his approval, of course. Let's discuss it on the nw bombers site.



I've followed this thread for some time, keeping out of it, hoping people would just let it die on it's own, but it has kept going. I think just about all that can and should be said has been said.



I'm going to lock this, and let it go away on its own with time. If you disagree with that, feel free to email me.
