Ok I have a mount similar to the VSM for my Delphi SkyFi XM radio that slips under the dash bezel (it is just a piece of sheet metal bent in a low profile Z shape) and I really don't like it in that location, the shift lever for my A/T blocks the display when in Drive. I did not like the stock mount because it sticks out too far. So I am wondering if anyone out there has found the "killer" mount and location that doesn't look like some sort of abortion hanging off the dash???Oo.

The only place on the 96 I liked was the cup holder. Get a aluminum piece, cut to fit and mine went in there. But now I don't have the Delphi. The Audio Vox is a different shape.

Proram,

I've got the automatic so the cupholder is in the way for your location. Mine is between the ashtray and the HVAC controls, I wanted it within easy reach and tight against the dash. It looked pretty good until I put the truck in Drive----------DOHHHHH!!!!! The shift lever compleatly blocks the display from my vantage point behind the wheel.

I put mine on the upper left corner of the SRS cover in front of the shifter. I took all the swivel stuff off the Delphi base and drilled/countersunk new holes and screwed it to the SRS cover. It's not a good place to see the display but I didn't care about that. It's tucked in close and out of the way. Craig
