Where's the boost?

Fellas,
I think I got a problem somewhere. I put on the EZ along with the adjustable elbow,I cranked it all the way closed,and I'm seeing only about 19 psi. That is all I was seeing with the engine stock. I checked all the hoses, and they seem ok. Any ideas. I can get to that 19psi in a hurry,but that's about it.

Remember I had the same problem? Lets put some 275's in there this weekend and that will solve your problem.

Big A, something is not right. I was seeing 28 psi's of boost with just the EZ. You should not need more than the EZ, i. e. , bigger injectors, to get above 19 psi's.

Big A - Just as an FYI, I was only seeing 22 lbs of boost with the EZ cranked on it's most aggressive setting and the non adjustable elbow in place. It sounds like you may have a leak. We should meet up, and I'll help you out. When I first put my boost gauge in, I also had a leak. If you put the boost line into the side of the engine. . you really need to get that bolt tight (but don't over tighten it).

I agree with you Bigsaint. I'm thinking I got a leak somewhere. I dont think it's the EZ. Maybe the new elbow?

i too only got 20-22psi with just the ez. now with dd2's i can hit 31psi but it will fall off too about 28psi. some of you guys seem to have alot of boost compared to me. i wonder if different gauges make a difference?

TTT. Just wondering if you have it figured out yet ? If not, what source are you using for the boost and did you check that boost line to the gauge for kinks, twists, abrasions, etc. along with the fittings at the source and the gauge.

I am getting 27# with just the EZ boost elbow and no other mods( other than exaust). i see that same 27 no matter which setting the EZ is on. I have new Autolites.

I am getting spikes of 33 and continuous 29-30 with ez, non ajustable elbow and 275's. With just the ez, no elbow or injectors I was getting 22. The 22 was with the ez on setting 3 (out of the box) and 29-33 is with it on 2 I have not played with the jumper just turned it down with the addition of the injectors. Might go to setting 1 to be nice to the clutch.

I talked with BIG A yesterday and he said that he got up inside of his hood and was fudging around... noticing that the bolts going to the side of the engine block were kinda loose. So he tightened them up.

Big A said that he'd call me today to let me know how this worked out. . but I am yet to hear from him. Guess I'll give him a call. I'll let you guys know what I find out.

The boost elbow must have a leak. I disconnected it from the waste gate,Plugged them both, and I'm seeing about 23pounds of boost without much problem. Thank all you fellas for the help. Taylor from Edge products was a lot of help. I'm glad I got my EZ from them.
