Just curious, where is the connector located that you folks are plugging in these hop-up box modules? I've read here that the dealers are marking them with paint etc. to show "tampering". I plan on upgrading to a box at some point and would like to know if my harness is marked or not.

Thanks!

Hank

The stickers that I have heard of are on the connection between the injection pump and the wireing harness. This is where a VA box would plug in. If you use the EZ box it plugs into a diagnostic port that does not have a sticker (yet). If your truck is a 2001 it probably does not have the sticker. I think the stickers are on 2001. 5 trucks.

Both location are on the drivers side of the engine:

The VA plugs into the VP44 pump at the large rectangular connector on the aft end.

The PE EZ plugs into the MAP sensor and Data Link plug. You can see the installation instructions at the Power Edge site.

Funny thing, when you get a new VA, they include a yellow "Void" Sticker :D
