Hitch year question?

Hi Guys,

I was hoping you could help me find the connector under my dash that my Prodigy plugs into. ( I have the Dodge harness for it, and a trailer tow pkg on the truck. )

I looked under there but found no loose wiring harness connections. Maybe Iam looking for the wrong thing?

It's about 10PM here and Ive spent the last two days installing my fiver hitch, so Iam pretty tired and not thinking clearly.

Just hoping someone could shed some light on this subject for me.

Thanx in advance from a tuckered out ol' trucker :D

Mohave; I just love looking at that town out of my rear view mirror. Anyway, the connection is way up under the dash on the left side (drivers side) of the steering shaft. Once you find it the dodge hardness will plug in. Make sue that when you plug those two together that everything is a go because you will have hell to pay if you have to take them apart!

On the 03, it's just above the emergence brake. It is easier to get to if you remove the kick panel below the steering wheel.

What is this, a trick question?? Uh, under the dash? Did I win?

Somebody tucked mine in behind the wiring harness, had to unclip in several places to unwind it first. Must have been a new guy in Mexico earning that $5 / day.

Blue Connector found hidden

Thanks Guys,

Finally found the illusive "BLUE" connector tucked away behind that big white connections box (left of the steering column) and up against the fire wall. Had to dismount the connector box to get to it and cut it loose from the other wiring harnesses.

Probably some Latin jokster thinking he would have some fun with "the Gringo" buying this truck *LOL*

I swear, it was like they were hiding it from anyone looking for it

Lesson for those who come along after me... . "Look for the "BLUE" connector, left of steering column and probably against the fire wall. "

Regards to all and Happy Holidays,

Joe

(Oops, posted this as a new topic first... ... I need some sleep *LOL*)

Thanks for the info, Joe and everyone else.

I'm planning to install my brake controller next week. It's good to have a forum where someone else has already asked the question I was thinking about.

Now it's time to search and try to dig up the color codes for the harness...

Edit: Pulled the harness out of the bag and there were tags on the wires labeling what they were for. I guess Dodge thinks of everything... :)

Try this, guess what the wires are for, WITHOUT the cheat sheet, now look at what the wires are really, now pretend you are a Lawyer, now you know why all manufacturers supply the plug with the trailer package.

Glad I could finally help someone else by posting my experiences here. Ive been helped many other times in just this same way.

This forum is awesome. :D

Regards,

Joe
