Whoever said that it takes about three hours to install a triple gauge "A" pillar pod and gauge on a 3G Ram is phulla**** :D

I spent the better part of the day installing my Pro Pod and Pricols from Geno's.

The color match of the pod is good, but the molded in texture is not quite and exact match... ... and... ... the pro pod requires fairly extensive trimming and fitting to make sure it looks good. I suspect I spent several hours of the install with my Moto-Tool just getting the pod to fit the way I wanted it over the old "A" pillar.

I found some small "Christmas tree" retainers to hold the pod overlay onto the old "A" pillar and painted 'em to match and that looks pretty slick.

Yeah, I guess I could have speeded up the job with "scotch locks" on the wiring, but I'm anal and soldered and shrink sleeved all the connections. I also fabricated a wiring harness so if I ever have to remove the pod for service it's just a matter of dropping the pod down, disconnecting the harness and I can work on the pod on my workbench

Like the comedy channel..... "Time well wasted"

but you know it's installed the way you like, even if others can't see it.

Glad to here you too would rather soldier and shrink that scotch.

Quality job well done !!!

and no "comebacks"

They are able to install the gauge pod and gauges in 3-4 hours, just you arn't. I think most folks don't have the experiance of working on, and adding accessories to trucks. Seams many on here are first time diesel owners, and also first timers at adding things. That makes a world of differance, the knowledge and confidence gained thru experiance is priceless. Your next time will be much easier, it always is. I do all of my own work and enjoy it very much.

Yeah, I could do it a lot quicker next time, but as I said in my previous post, I AM anal and like to make sure that things are done right. I hate sloppy... . and I believe in that old carpenter's adage..... "measure twice, cut once!"
