<font color=blue>Ok heres the scoop on
MY JRE 4" Exhaust system.
First off yes the install took longer then anticipated, but after a lengthy conversation with Ted this morning we found out mostly why things went wrong like they did.
First off the shipping was not great. As I mentioned above I was not here when it arrived. Ted informed me that I had 7 days to claim damages against UPS, but I didn't know that at the time I thought since I didn't recieve it personally that I was stuck with it. The eggshaped pipe ends were fixed and were more of a minor annoyance then anything. The welded hanger that we had to rebend was probably also damaged by the shipping. The box I had looked like it had been torn in half and basically retaped together. I really couldn't believe it. Somehow the K&N air filter that was in there survuved.

Here is the problem we discovered :
You are told to reuse a clamp from the factory muffler that when in place will set the pace for the rest of the exhaust system.
MY hanger from the factory was
welded onto my muffler and well would have been more trouble to remove then it was worth. That was the start and root of most of our problems we had as this clamp is basically the key ingredient on where the whole system will hang. Ted stated this is the first he has heard of this and that he will include that clamp (he knew the part number off top of his head) in all future kits from this day forth. The way he described the muffler should sit is nuthing like mine is sitting which is why we couldn't use the rest of his supplied hangers. My truck was made in Mexico. When in the porper posistion Ted stated there should be 1" of welding space for each hanger, this was not applicable in my case because we fabricated our own hangers!
Ted was very concerned with my situation and literally asked me what he could do to make it "right". I will not disclose what the details are (to keep it professional) but Ted has shown his commitment to making his customers happy.
I am going for my new TC and Valve body tommorrow so I had to have this stuff in there for my dyno runs I have scheduled.
Ted Jannetty is doing everything he can to make me a happy, satisfied customer.
I will definately still recommend him and his business in the future based on this level of customer service and responsiveness to the situation. If this was my "first" dealing with him I might have been a little more upset then I truely am, but because of previous converstions with him I
KNEW he would listen to my concerns and act on them. The fact that is was the weekend complicated the whole situation.
I may be around for a 2nd installation of a JRE system on another truck in the next couple of weekends. So for now I consider this a "one-time" situation.
If we use the correct clamp and we still have troubles then I will post them, but until then I would still suggest looking into the JRE 4" Exhaust.
To anyone who has installed a recent exhaust system, for feedback reasons was the clamp on the front of your muffler welded in place? We are trying to determing when this started taking place. Please contact Ted with the information. He is always looking to improve his system.
