i have a JRE 4" and have no problems , i did have it installed by JRE , but i could have done it myself , i do have my own welder , but i wanted to check out JRE personally since i live within reason to his shop. i do have a different muffler , but will probably be changing it in the future , its getting louder and gets the attention of the local men in blue easily ...

I put my JRE 4" system on myself about 10 days ago. I'd never done anything like that before, so I was a little concerned about what I was doing. The ol' Sawzall and I had the old system gone in about 15 minutes. (Rob, your product review said about five - I just couldn't do it that quickly... )

Then the fun began. I was able to use the old muffler hanger with no problem (there were no welds there), but I wasn't sure about how to position/hang the whole system. Slow, methodical, and perhaps a bit dim-witted, I was able to get it on - pretty solidly, too, considering I had to roll down to the muffler shop the next morning for the welding. Of course, the system had no problem staying in place for the trip. I think I must not have placed the tailpipe quite correctly because 1) it hangs a little lower than the original and 2) we had to weld two hangers together to make the reach from the frame hanger holder to the pipe. But it suits my driving perfectly well, and it sure makes a lovely sight pokin' out the back of my Ram.

How do I like it? Man! I love it! I'd previously had Geno's muffler eliminator on. I loved that, too, but the JRE is SOooo much better.

Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. Ted J. treated me - as he always has - with the greatest interest in seeing I matched my system with my needs (well, wants... ), and he always takes the time to talk through and explain things so even a not-so-mechanically-inclined person as myself can understand.
