Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting what bow for a youth?

Don't want to jack the thread but I advise any AR with pre ban features and flat top for investment if they ban then you will make money at resale. That being said

I am calling out the old seasoned AR fans to help me locate a production flattop upper or plain a2 sighted barrel in 18" RRA makes a bull but looking for a M4 or hbar for the best possible balance a daunting task...

I wanted a 16" for around the house and to predator hunt with but everyone I have asked says that the 16 is loud and the 20 is front heavy looking for the compromise.

already have a panther lr308 which I love but is terribly front heavy has very little off hand ability and is only suited to shooting off a bag or pod... Thanks in advance

anyone have any experience on a 18" or 20 " bull that has been fluted? looks like the heavy contour barrel adds about 2 or 3#s be nice to shave it back off and still have a tack driver...

Dont have a fluted bbl personally, but it will aid in cooling while making it lighter and a bit stiffer.

Or so I'm told... ...

For the extra $$$$ I'd have it fluted, at least under the H guards.

I have the oppurtunity to buy a Armalite AR-10A4 308 new for 1700. 00. Is this a good deal?

That might be a deal for an Armalite, but if you just want an AR type . 308, I have a friend looking to sell is Bushmaster BAR-10 for around $1k IIRC. If you're interested, drop me a PM.

There was problems with the B'master lugs in their 308's. Watch it!

And now for my shameless plug:

I got 3 brand new LMT uppers coming in. 2 16" one 14. 5".

Complete with BCG's and charging handles. No hand guards.

Retail is around $ 660... if you can find anyone selling at retail price.

I'll sell these for $600 cash delivered. I will accept paypal, but add 4% and NO mention of guns. 50% up front. 50% when it's mailed out.

These are due in in the beginning of April.

If nobody here commits in a day or so they will go on other boards... . and WILL sell for full retail. Purchaser is required to know what's legal where they live, and if modifications are needed it's up to the purchaser to do whatever mods to make this legal before assembling it to an lower.

1/7 is for the heavy bullet.

1/9 is good up to 69 gr..... sometimes 75 gr depending on the bullet design and particular barrel. Varies from bbl to bbl.

Some will shoot 75's GREAT. Some wont. Even within the same manufacturer.

Ahhhh anyway back on topic. :D

Patriot, sorry for the confusion, but are those 14. 5" uppers 16" total length (with the flash hider, or are they total 14. 5"? Thanks!!

<---------- serious interest here...

Both. I have 14. 5" and 16" on the way.
If you perminently install a longer flash hider on the 14. 5 it'll be 16" + so it's legal.
The measurement is on the barrel.
