Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Which block?

I have a 96 12 valve and i was wonderin wat block do i have it is 215 horse and i forgot to get the numbers off of it. I was told that there are 2 different blocks one is made in brazil and another somewhere else. The brazil block is supposebly thicker? Someon please set the story straight so i know wat i am talking about

The Brazil block ( #53 ") is the one you want to avoid. I doubt it if your 96 is one of those. Shadrach
