Gwoody,

let me know how the VA box does for you? How much did it run you($)? Ive seen the VA box is supposed to give you 30HP gain at 2900 RPM. . is this the same #s you had on this?

So from what ive gathered the box's available for my 04. 5 are the TST-powermax CR

VA-smartbox C3

TS-ramifier

Quadzilla?

Bullydog?

any one have any different info?

I think i read someguys are now testing the edge juice, is this for the 600 or the 305?

thanks again to everyone for the GREAT info so far... .....

Jason,

I have the vA SC3 level one box (pressure) It is perfect for those who tow and want just a little more umph. The power comes on lower in the RPM range and tapers off around 2800. Drivability is very good and it doesn't make enough power as to tax the clutch or create excessive EGT. It isn't for the hot rod crowd, but it serves my purposes well. Cost just under 4 bills.

VA duration box arrived UPS, feel like a kid at christmas time, can't wait to get off work and get it on the truck and go for a drive. Jason I'll let you know how it feels, I'll have to stick to short bursts till my gauges arrive.

WOW WOW WOW, That's the feeling you get when you romp on it with the swith set on 120 H. P. setting, haven't pulled a trailer yet but this thing feels very impressive. Had to stick to short bursts as my gauges are still on order. Don't know how this feels compared to others but I really think this thing would do more than the drivetrain could stand, gonna have to use some common sense pulling heavy loads.

Is this the first box you have run on your truck? I felt that the Edge EZ put out more power and runs harder than the VA. It is only rated for 75 HP

GREG,Yes, this is the first, this is an 04. 5 and the only 2 available, to my knowledge is TST or VA, I wanted something simple to hook up so I went with the VA duration box. Was the VA you tried the duration or pressure box.

JPalese, may take me a while to quit playing, lots of fun to drive.

I'm checking the mileage against the overhead and my hand calculated mileage. I run between 100 and 250 miles a day during the week so give me a couple of days to average it out and I'll post my results...
