Which chip for a stock 2007?

I have an Edge EZ on my '01 and have been pleased with it, but I have not kept up on the newer models of trucks and the newer chips.

I am not looking to race or pull in contests, just want a bit more power plus perhaps a tad better economy out of my '07 with 5. 9 +automatic trans+4WD.

The only pulling I do is a 27. 5 ft 5th wheel.

The only other mod I am thinking to do is to run a straight 4" exhaust and do away with the muffler in the stock system. My '07 is bone stock and I have added A-pillar gages, that's it.

Is there an over-all favorite chip that you all like or is this question like asking what oil do you like best?

Smarty Jr here too A straight through exhaust will have drone towing. A large donaldson muffler will flow better with no drone.

10-4 on the drone. I took my muffler off my 07 4x4 with the 48RE and the drone when I pull my toy hauler sucks. I'm going with a 4" donaldson.

Is the drone on an '07 with 5. 9/48 any worse than on an '01 with 5. 9/47????
I have straight thru 4" on my '01 and do not find it so bad..... of course I am half deaf after many years of chainsaws and brush chippers.

I had an Edge EZ on my 06 and enjoyed it. Now after running a Smarty I would say that is the way to go for sure.

Also, is the Smarty a simple plug-in box like the EZ or is it more involved?

Smarty is not a plug in box but a stand along programmer. Very easy to use. Plug it into your truck computer port and download the program. Check with Power by Poole about prices.

Your pretty much going to find the same price everywhere. Give Bob a call, he can load whatever tune you want on it and send it out. Youd be just fine running the Revo programming though
