Ok I,ve decided to put a 2nd gen engine in my truck along with the NV5600 I just picked up. My question is which year is best to start with? I was told to stay away from California engines because of extra emissions, low power. What are the best cpl#.

Thanks Rod ;)

YEP,

CPL 2175 is good. Pump number 915 or 887.

Put a 6CT 8. 3L in... . they can be found pretty cheap..... HP levels right out of the box are up to 450hp and 1400ft/lbs... . enough power to tear the entire drivetrain to ribbons. That dude with the crew-cab F*rd is getting low 20's as far as MPG with his 6CT... . and he even has a BIG heavy Eaton manual transmission..... truck weighs over 8k lbs..... not bad!, not bad at all!

The 6CT weighs like 600# more... . is 4" longer and is the same width and height. It could be done... . get out the shoehorn.....

I'd do it if I could... . anyone like to donate some cash fundage? :D
