I'm having a really hard time finding 4" T-409 SS exhaust systems with a one piece tailpipe. I HATE the look of an exhaust that hangs down in the back and you see a big ugly clamp right in the middle of the tailpipe. What I'm looking for is this:

1. 409 stainless steel

2. 4" SINGLE exit

3. ONE PIECE TAILPIPE

4. Design tucks tip CLOSE - up by the bottom of the bed.

So far, I've found the following two piece tailpipe manufacturer's

Magnaflow

Diamond Eye

AFE

and these APPEAR to have one piece tailpipes (from what I can tell by the only crappy pics I have found)

ANSA-Silverline

MBRP

Can anyone confirm that silverline and MBRP indeed DO have one piece tailpipes? What manufacturers am I missing?

I hate the look of the clamps also & that is why I bought the Bullydog 45* exhaust tip which is 24" long & tucked away up under the bed out of site.

I would call and ask before you order anything and don't go by the pictures. My mHog Performance has a one piece tailpipe but then a friend ordered one and his came with a two piece tailpipe so I guess they changed their manufacturing process.

Or you can do what I did, Andy: I bought the Mopar 5" exhaust tip for my '05 and had a shop weld it on. The master welder did a phenominal jop with the TIG, and it looked real nice, when it was done.

Thanks for the info guys. Fred, my current exhaust is "rotting" off the truck, so full replacement is in order. I like the look of that bullydog tip, and could easily make that work to suit me... . but it's $200. It's nice, but not sure I want to take it that far.

Yeah, the Bully Dog tip IS nice, but $200 is way out of my price range. I think I paid $65 for the Mopar tip; a friend of mine works at the dealership where I used to live.

The tip that I am talking about is sold by Jegs part# 159-180450 ... . $79. 99

My brother Brian has a dual MBRP exhaust on his 04. 5 using 2 of these tips & my other brother Cody has the same tip on his 98. 5. Between the 3 of us we have bought 4 of these tips & they look awesome on all of our trucks. I bought my tip for $65. 00 before inflation took over the market. I have the Summit 4" aluminized exhaust system on my truck & it still looks good after 3 years of snow plowing & salt spreading. The stainless is nice, but the aluminized will outlast my truck by the looks of things. You should call Doug at Advanced Diesel Technology for pricing on the exhaust, he usually will beat competitors & he is a great guy to deal with. 304-864-3399

The reason for doing the two piece tailpipe is for shipping purposes. I have a 5" MBRP aluminized setup which has a one piece tailpipe and its been on for 4 years now and still looks good... ... . Andy
