Which fuel additive is best?

When not towing, my truck gets very little use - perhaps fill the tank every 2 or 3 weeks. I'm curious what to use to keep the little critters from growing and gumming up the fuel lines. I looked in Wal Mart, Advanced Auto, etc. and get confused when the can just states it's a diesel fuel additive. I'm almost ready to head for one of the big truck stops with a truckers store. Appeciate any feedback

Wal-Marts sell POWERService© fuel additive, works fine for me cost $9. 95 to treat 300 gallons

WOW! Did a search on fuel additives and found all the facts I was looking for. The postings I printed out were during my month long trip to Florida - no wonder I missed them. Will try the Wal-Mart additive first. Thanks

I use Howes diesel additive. Began using it in a 91 natural asperated F350 7. 3L that I bought used. Fuel mileage went from about 750 km for two tanks holding 142 l to about 1000 km with the same amount of fuel. Injectors and fuel system had to have been bunged up a fair bit. Using it in 2001 ETC.

For you unimeasure guys there are . 625 km to the mile and 3. 76 l to the small US gallon.

I use Redline 85 cetane booster, lucas, and marval mystery in every tank, every month or so I run some redline fuel system cleaner through.
