Ok, i've got a cold air intake and 4" exhaust and appropriate gauges . I need to give it a little more power for pulling my car trailer. Is there any one fuel pin that is better than another for my 92? Thanks in advance.

I dont think fuel is your issue. Air is your issue. The 92 turbos were 21 cm. Stick a 18 cm or 16 on it then decide if you need a fuel pin.

Although you didnt say much on your engine mods, I would still think the fuel screw would be the best place to start depending on your current boost/pyro numbers. You can get a lot of power out of your stock fueling components if adjusted right. Heck, even injectors would be a better investment before a pin! I am still stock fueling components and have only adjusted my screw, and my engine is about 320/800 at the wheels. That more than allows me to run up mountains at my 24,000 GCW.

Again, I don't think a pin is needed yet. Adjusting the fuel screw and a change from the 21cm housing would be a smarter move.

I agree turn the fuel screw in some and also ditch the Lag master 21cm housing and go to a 16 and see the difference before you add the fuel pin .

Good Day
I have a 90 with a BD 40 hp pin, banks kit and 3200 spring
I guess im running 285 hp and 600 ftlbs
how do you turn the fuel screw up just a little, dont want to risk an overspeed

No you have 160 stock so maybe 180 the 40 hp gain is with supporting mods to go with that .Just because something claim's to add 40 hp doesn't mean it does Your not even close to 285 hp yet . as for fuel screw turn it 1/2 a turn and see how it does .

Its a Banks Stinger plus
47 hp and 166 lb-ft
so it is close to that, but would like to get more safe power with out putting in bigger injectors
I will turn it in 1/2 turn and see
Had the truck since new, 300,000 miles and runs great, just like alittle more power

Yeah unless you have had the truck on a dyno your no where close to that number . Bank's can Claim it will produce that but there are alot of Factor's in making that claim hold up true . I still say your maybe close to 200 but not far from that .

OK is the truck a auto or stick ? half turn will get you a gain but there is no set amount .How far has the screw been turned in so far ? And why 300 HP? what is so great about that number . Remember this isn't a Gas powered Vehicle .It's a Diesel they use Torque more then HP.

OK if the tamper cap's are still on then you are Way off on your 280 hp claim but back to fuel screw .Take the cap off and turn it 1 full turn in. Then you will have to back your idle down some but that is easy also. Drive it at that point and see how it feel's .the weak link is going to be your trans .it's only a 3 sp and you start turning the Motor up your going to hurt it .Be careful .And go Slow on tuning .

I will do that this week end
300? that is just a number... 300 hp and 650 lb-ft is a good start.I plan on doing a Transgo diesel shift kit to help with the more power

thanks

Put a tighter or Lower stall converter in the trans and freshen it up while you are at it . and you will be surprised how much better it run's .
