Newbie here - first CTD! 2005 2500 Auto.

I have read many posts in the forums and I have decided to install a Juice w/Attitude this weekend. I plan to keep the truck mostly stock (and the Juice on 3 or below. ) If I were to install only one mechanical gauge beyond the Attitude monitor, should it be transmission Temp or Fuel Pressure? I ordered a replacement pillar with a built in Attitude mount and one mechanical gauge hole.

If I go with the transmission gauge, should I mount the sender in the pressure port on the right side of the transmission (read it in a post,) or drill into the pan, or go inline? If I go with the fuel gauge, how easy is the install? (any drilling or tapping required?)

The Juice/Attitude only supports true pyro gauge. All other engine monitoring and displays are read from the ECM values. No transmission temperature available from ECM or Juice/Attitude. The boost readout is only as acurate as the MAP can supply, about 40psi. If you are going to do anyother mods and tow I would get a trans temp gauge and use a trans to trans cooler line with sensor port. Just my . 02.

Hi Agandy,

The J/A does not have the trans temp. So the next question for you is how much towing do you do? If you tow a lot then a Trans gauge is probably in order. The Fuel Press gauge is also good to have as you'll be able to see if the lift pump is starting to go. For installing the trans the ideal place is in the feed line to the cooler, but installing it in the pan is acceptable too (just temps will be a little cooler there). For the FP gauge you can buy a threaded Banjo bolt to make your connection. You can always get both gauges too. Take a look at the Overhead/windshield mounts in the 2-gauge configuration. Take a look at the ISSPRO Dodge Match gauges in the white dial. If you need any help we'll be glad to assist you.

I have the same truck as you and I installed a transmission temp and fuel pressure gauge with the 2 pod mount (above rear view) neather is hard to install. See my RR for pics and a couple install tips.

What about mounting the transmission sensor here?

I have read a few posts on various sites detailing a port that can be used for the transmission temp sender mount. (See the photo. )

If I go inline, where is a good reference for instructions and parts?

Thanks for all of the replies! Very helpful info!

Well the trans to trans cooler line is just a stock part that has a T-fitting for the sensor to use. Pretty straight forward, remove OE line and connect new line, screw in trans temp sensor. Put something under to catch and trans fluid that might drain. Here is a pic of mine installed.

I installed in the trans case first. It gave some strange inconsistant readings there. I now have it in the trans line as pictured and it works well. Always reads low unless the convertor is unlocked. The line install is really simple.

Sorry for the mis-information earlier, I thought I read that somehwere :(

Yeah right and whatever. :-laf :-laf :-laf And I NEVER tow above level 1 either.

The attitude is nice, but other than the extra ajustability for the Juice, I don't really like it. Too much crap that doesn't really work. Boost, Thrtl, Slip, all wacko on mine.

Extra gauge:

Towing--ditto on the transmission temp

Just driving--fuel pressure. If I had to do it again I'd just get the idiot light from BD. Much cheaper and all you really need. Should probably have this one no matter what you do.
