Installed Isspro EV's in my Dad's truck...

Thought I'd try Autometer Ultra Lites in mine. Installed boost gauge and immediately had that stuck on zero problem. Also noticed that at night they were extremely poor visability and the lighting doesn't go through the face plate but rather around it. Wiring was also really a hassle so I gathered up the bunch and sent them back and traded them for Isspro EV's. I really like these gauges.

In defense of Autometer, however, the ultra lites are a beautiful easy to read gauge in the daytime. Too bad the boost didn't function, otherwise what I had been able to read in the daytime might have meant something. :D

The DiPricol white faced gauges are an interesting new option...

My Westachs have worked great for about 1. 5 years. Although, I did have to replace the thermocoupler on the transmission temp gauge which Geno's covered in a prompt manner.

Bill, I voted mixed as I have DiPricol, Autometer and one SPA in my truck. No real complaints with any of 'em. The Autometer is on the hood and does fog after heavy rain, nothing I can't live with though. The DiPricols have great lighting, except the pyro, which doesn't have an illuminated needle  . The SPA is costly, but you get two gauges in one package. No complaints with the SPA and the pressure sender seems to be somewhat stronger than others on the market. I've had my sender mounted without a snubber for over a year now, works well.

AutoMeter's :)

Although my Boost gauge just started sticking at 0 psi then on heavy boost it will jump off the 0. I'll need to fix that.

I also am having a SPA gauge installed for transmission temps & Fuel pressure (pre & post ;) )

For some reason I have been scared into thinking mechanical Fuel Pressure in the Cab is a very bad thing. I have IssPro EV boost and EGT and want to match fuel pressure.

Do I really need to worry about a mechanical FP gauge? Does anyone know if you could run the stainless lines to the steering wheel pod mount? thanks,

J

Isspro!

Love my EV's. They work and look great, day or night. Had a problem initially with the pyro control box, caused the needle to jump around or just go to zero. The whole gauge and control box were promptly replaced at no charge. Everything is fine since. The plan is to add more Isspros - tach, trans temp, oil pressure and coolant temp.

My Mech. F/P gauge sits in the middle of my dash.

SS braided line from fuel filter housing..... no leaks.

The difficulty with braided is running the line with no sharp bends, and getting the right adapters/hose ends to fit into the gauge housing.

my gauges

Fuel pressure on right.

Yes, I drilled holes in my dash:cool: (11 to be exact)

i guess you have those 4, but what are the other 5?

1: Boost

2: Pre Turbo EGT

3: Post Turbo EGT

4: Oil Temp

5: Oil Pressure

6: Trans Temp

7: Rear End Temp

8: Tank Pressure (air)

9: Suspension Pressure (air)

The post EGT guage probably isn's necessary, but I like to watch the difference between the two- you'd be amazed how long it takes for the post turbo temps to come down after towing!

The rest are self explanatory, the second oil pressure guage is a just in case. I'll try and yank out the digi cam and get some photos.
