Hewitt EGT, 0-50 boost, 0-30 mechanical fuel pressure with isolator. I know Hewitt is relatively new to the light truck market but I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned them here yet. Mine aren't installed yet but the white lettering on black with orange pointers matches the Ram dash almost exactly.

Hewitt installed tonight. Didn't have time to get the lights wired. Went for a ride with the flashlight!--sometimes a wife would be handy:rolleyes:

Hewitt 50# boost and 1500F Pyro. They also make a cross-needle double pyro. It's intended for dual engine installations but would work fine for double-probed engines.

So on "my hill" I got the pyro up to 1050 pretty quick and pushed it to almost 1100 before I had to back out at about 90mph. Running 24# on the boost gauge, but it doesn't zero (lowest it goes is the high side of the 2# hash mark) so I don't know how accurate the top number is.

Bought used electric fuel pressure gauge, but it ain't here yet. Wouldn't hesitate to put diesel in cab with mechanical. That was the original plan.

GET GAUGES NOW IF NOT SOONER!!!

that can't be said enough.

I have Autometer Ultralights in both trucks and regret buying them.

Wish I had something as slick looking as the Isspro EV's or the SPA's.

Maybe in time...

Isspro EV`s in my baby.

I love it when someone sees the gauges and asks did those come in here?

No I installed them myself.

Why they ask?

I say,to monitor the Cummins.

They ask why?

Then I get started... ... ... ... ... . well see the egt gauge, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,I educate them or leave them dumbfounded :p

VDO for me from the local performance shop. I bought them in '95 and they go from truck to truck with me. They match the dash gauges and haven't been any trouble. They'll probably go to my next truck too!:D

I had Banks gauges and had nothing but trouble. One of them was always sticking, Swithed to white faced DiPricol's and added a dakota digital FP gauge.

I use dual Westach's because I can get two readings in the same frame. They also have solid state pressure senders (stainless steel). NO moving parts. Westach can make ANY kind of gauge you want. My FP (at the LP and at the VP) is a dual 30psi in one guage.

I use to fly and now guage everything. I take great pains in making sure the sensor is really doing what it should (ie oil temp in flowing oil, and the right length to insure it is in the flow).

Have had no trouble so far, but still fairly new at this.

Bob Weis

boost, EGT pre & post (with the correct switch), transmission temp hot and pan, Diff temp, FP LP & VP, oil P & T, transmission pressure gauges comming.

gauges

Isspro EV's, and love 'em. have both a pre and a post turbo probe, with one gauge--mini DPDT switch beside the gauge. only trouble i've had was when i pulled a wire in two when i installed my air horn button in the A-pillar mount later  lost EGT temporarily.

BTW, when i installed my mechanical FP gauge, just went to the local truck parts store and got plastic air brake hose for the tubing. works great, and should be tough to destroy.

Isspro EV's- White w/ Blue

Tach, pyro, boost, oil pressure & water temp. Replaced POS Diprocol pyro (Couldn't see needle at night), Diprocol boost (Good, easy to see gauge, but didn't match my Isspro's), and total POS Westach Tachometer. Should have bit the bullet the first time around instead of wasting my money... ... ... .

Only bad thing about Isspro EV's is the convex lens. They suffer badly from glare & reflections during the day, sometimes making it hard to see gauge face. They would have been so much better with a flat lens, or at least some kind of anti-glare treatment.

AutoMeter Pyro and Boost

I always liked the looks of the ultra-light series best. And I think the night time visabilty is decent as well.

Isspro EGT and Charge air pressure.

the EGT failed and both gauge and pyro were replaced

OK since

Lighting not very good in them Got some higher output halogen lamps and they're OK.

You should have had a vote for no guages installed. When I decide to install guages the first will be fuel pressure to monitor the lift pumps. If I decide to bomb the vehicle I will add additional guages as needed. The basic guages that came with the truck work for me.

dpetre, consider it done but remember the results might not be representive.

Sort of like adding Bush to the ballot an hour before the polls close. ;)

DiPricol (EGT, Boost, FP) to match the '03 factory gauges, in an A-pillar (gauges/A-pillar installed last Saturday; sensors yet to be installed & hooked up).

I was really torn between the DiPricol for the factory match (haven't discovered the unlighted needle on the EGT as mentioned in this thread) and the Westach duals for efficiency (more gauges) and coolness (like the aircraft look). Ultimately, immediate availability from vendor with A-pillar who would paint it (Diesel Power Products; but Geno's had the white-faced Westachs) and to a much lesser degree, cost, pushed me over the edge to the Di-Pricols.
