I can't figure out which gears i have in my rear axle. I've checked sticker in the glove box and the window sticker and everywhere else i could think. All the stickers say is anti-spin differential. No gear ratio. Anyone have any ideas where i could look or how to find out?

Usually the sticker says if there is a 4:10 rear. If it says nothing, it's likely the 3:73. You may also want to see if there is a vendor code sticker on the axle which may have the axle ratio on it.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will investigate today and let you all know.

If your truck is like mine, open the glove box and when the door drops down look there. All the engine, transmition, axle ratio info, etc is posted there.

Crawled under her today. No tag on the diff. Already checked sticker in glove box, it only says "anti-spin differential". Ran er up to 70 mph and it turned 2050 rpms. Can anyone tell me by this????

Yep, 70 is right on at 2050 RPM. 3. 73's it is!

The window sticker would have that listed as an extra cost option on the right side, if I'm not mistaken.

Another more interesting test is run it up to 3000 RPM, and see it sitting at 100 MPH.

Sounding like i have 3. 73's. I appreciate all of your responses. I checked the window sticker as well. It also didn't list which gears. I'll have to get it out and check out what speed at 3000 RPM. I'll let you know.

For the 4. 10's it would be listed as an option. 3. 73's doesn't show anything.

Also, in the glovebox,4th line down says:

DME Axle Ratio 3. 73

Okay, another test, 5th gear 50 MPH, should put you at 2000 RPM.

I'll try both test, however the all the sticker in the glove box says is 2nd line down: Code No. DSA and under description is says "AXLE - Anti-Spin Defferne".

50 MPH, 2000 RPM's, right on. Tried it today. Sounding like 3. 73's. Just can't understand why it doesn't list it anywhere. I even asked (this may come as a shock) the dealer, his reply it should be on window. Other than that he's not sure.
