Getting up in the miles, soon the injectors will probably go out. For keeping a relative docile demand on the truck which HP injectors would be recommended for a 2003 HO? ie no twins, or aux pusher pump... . Oo.

DD EDM's

Are those Diesel Dynamics injectors? I was not aware they made a "EDM" injector nozzle for the 3rd gen trucks. Are they new?

I don't recall who I spoke to at DD when I called about those injectors but they told me they use your tips and re-drill/hone or whatever with the EDM process. All I know is Don M says that can't be done and work right.

On the original quesiton of who's would/should he use for an '03??/ I'd say use Don M's and if you read about Marco's new DL then it appears to work best with just injectors. That would probably be a good match for someone not wanting to go HP crazy like most of us and maintain a stocklike appearance to the dealer as that DL leaves no tracks, per their advertising.

Diesel Dynamics has new nozzles made for them.

Are these the Kerma injectors, imported from Italy, I think? Not that I have anything against that if they are, as a matter of fact I have from time to time pursued info on if and when they might be available. Anyone have any knowledge on who is building them? And by the way, DD was at least originally re-drilling the customers injectors (on EDMs) and were not new nozzles as is implied above. That may have changed and I'm not challenging their current method of production. Perhaps they found Don M was correct and that process didn't work properly or why would they change up on how they do them and where they are getting them. The info I received was from a DD employee about the re-drilling and offered freely to me when I called them some time ago and asked questions re: 04. 5 injectors, FYI.

"Re-drilling" has a terrible sound to it, doesn't it? LOL The process is equal pressure honing, or extrude-honing.

As far as what is available for the 03-04 trucks, we can modify the stock nozzles or can sell new nozzles that we have manufactured. 50-75-100hp levels are available.

For the 04. 5+ trucks, we can only modify the stock nozzles currently. 50-75hp available. We have designed the replacement nozzles, but they have not arrived yet.

Just be aware, the original question was about replacing injectors, not just nozzles. Currently, the injectors are only available from Bosch, through Bosch/Cummins/DC, and it's usually the injector body or solenoid pack that fails or wears out, not the nozzles. Just FYI.

Another vote here for the F-1 EDMs as noted in my sig. They have worked well for me no matter what stack I've tried. Additional hp with no EGT or mileage penalty and they allow me to run higher levels on the TST at the same or lower temps.

Contact Dynomite Diesel. They are having a special until the end of Febuary for TDR members. I just got a set of 90hp extrudehoned injectors from them for $300. 00.

You send them your injectors (or tips) and they extrude hone them and send them back. That price is only good till the end of Feb from what I hear. I bet march 1st it will be 4x that price :D

The run very well. Smooth, and linear power. They are not smokey at all, and EGT's are manageable too depending on your other modifications. :)

I was re-reading old threads and found this link on the injectors for $300 until the end of February. Does anyone have an email address for these guys. It's not on their website. This really sucks to have found this just as I just deployed on the Abe Lincoln yesterday. What is their regular price? I could have them done this summer when we get back.

PM RFahlen at Dyno-Mite Diesel. He can answer any question. Haven't tried a box on my 06' but I'm very happy with the DDP upgrade.
