Which intercooler is the best value?

I'm considering the purchase of an aftermarket intercooler. There are Hellmann Performance, BD, Banks, Cool Twist, Spearco, Haisley, etc. . Who has found the best deals? Has most everyone dropped the 150 degrees that's normally claimed? I'm looking for the best value. . From what I've found so far, the Cool Twist seems like the best deal. .

I would say the cheapest is the best value, but if you're looking for performance you may have to pay more. I can vouch for the Banks unit and it dropped me between 150-300 degrees depending on my boost I'm pushing towing in comparison to stock.

we have had really good luck with the Joe hellmann intercoolers.

i have had nothing but bad luck from my bd (went through 3 all bad) i have a city diesel out of texas and it runs around a $1000 very happy so far and i put her to the test. tow with 700hp and run the boost at 40 -60 up hills no ballooning and cools the truck down well run 1000 egts up long hills in colorado at 75 to 85 mph. by the way the trailer weighs about 15k.

I run a Spearco but if I had to do that over again, I'd take a serious look at Joe Hellman's products.

Cool Twist

I've had very good experience from my Cool Twist. As an advertised rating the Cool Twist has the highest rating,... not really a huge deal as never do I expect to exceed a 100psi much less (I think the Cool Twist is rated at 300psi),. . it's been awhile since I got it but it is something like that and I recall it was 2 or 3 times what Banks was at the time I bought mine so that was good enough for me. I believe it has 7 or 8 more rows of cooling fins than an oem and it was thicker. It bolted up perfect with NO modding for fit. Bottom line,. . I'd buy it again.
