Which locking fuel cap to use ?

Hey folks, I have a Stant 10508 locking fuel cap. Is this one allright to use? I thought I saw something on here one time about which one to use or not use. Paul 2001 model

I am using the mopar 05278655AA works great

The Mopar cap (P/N 5278655AA) has the Stant trademark "S" molded into the top surface, suggesting to me that Stant makes the Mopar cap. Stant 10508 may be identical to the Mopar cap.

I got a Stant 11501, because the Stant Book at the store said it was the correct one for a 2000, quite a while ago. Package says also fits a10501 application. Never opened the package after reading this thread, https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70321&highlight=Stant+Gas+Cap, deciding if I really needed one, I would use a Mopar.

So don't really know if I have the correct one, and was never able to get Stant to reply to inqueries.

I had a Mopar on my 2001. 5, and bought a new one for this truck. Never had any problems with it, and I like the idea of controlling access.

I haven't bothered with a locking gas cap.



The way I see it, if the price of diesel keeps going up, I'm gonna replace the fuel door with the door off of a wall safe!
