I have a Mityvac 6840 brake bleed kit that I am trying to bleed the brake system on my 2002 Ram. None of the brake bleed adapter reservoir lid adapters in the kit work as far as I have been able to determine. Has anyone used the Mityvac 6480 to bleed their brake system and if so, which brake bleed adapter did you use for this kit. The Dodge Ram 2nd Generation is only one of the most popular pickup trucks in American automotive history........you would think they would include the brake bleed adapter for this vehicle!!! #ad
Thanks in advance for any replies and help!

The one on the right with chain and 4 j hooks. Mine also has a coupler on the supply tube. Call them and ask what's up.

I spoke with Mityvac Tech Support this morning and they do NOT make a brake bleed adapter specifically for these trucks. I asked them if the MVA809 which I ordered last night would work and they said most likely it would. Figured I would post this so anyone else that purchases this bleeder can benefit.

If you have the dual wells and this would work best. That thing you posted may work but your going to have to stop between the front and rear brake bleeding process and move that thing. I'm not saying whoever you talked to does not know what they are talking about butttttttt.

If yours looks like this I take everything back as they cheaped out and put a plastic tank with a single fill point.

That's more or less what my master cylinder looks like. Plastic, single fill point. Dodge REALLY cheaped out on the 2002 models. The best year models to get if you can find them are the 2001.5. They still have the fender well liners, CAD 4wd, and other nice to have things where as the 2002 did not have any of that. Still, with 87,000 miles on my 2002 Ram, I am going to keep it and refurbish as much as I can on it. The new trucks are just far to expensive to justify.
