There are so many new modules out and coming out,I need some expierenced help from people with those modules... I had a BullyDog Pup for my 04. 5 CTD,sold 04 dodge for more truck(13,500# camper)... Need some power when I tow so I like to get a module-yes I have gauges, will upgrade trans this winter- Interested in Quad-Zillaraider,Juice w/atitude,TST or the Bully Dog... looking for ON Fly power level switching (Pup took about 10 to14 minutes to change modes) like to have full fun power when not towing and 60hp for towing and I know about EGT at this level have to keep an eye on it... and the tow/haul switch for 05 is junk, can lock out OD for towing for hills or back roads my 04 would go into 3rd w/LU and stay there not bounce around like my 05... ...

i also have a cedar creek 36 ft triple slide rtls. my weight is probly right at yours. the 04. 5 6sp that i have is plenty with the BANKS 6GUN AND SPEED LOADER. i tow on on level 4. most guys on the tdr do not like banks but it works for me. yes i still have to watch the egts because they will jump up. but not so fast that it becomes terminal. i cheated with the egt guage and put it behind the turbo so the saftey doesnt work. the best thing is that i can smoke enough to get tail gators off my *** when i want to. yes i have air intake and exhaust mods. i also have firestone air bags and a pac brake. i also tow at 75 to 80 mph. bone

I have the TST. First, some background. I have tried a ton of modules -

1. Edge EZ. Just wasn't enough for me.

2. TS ramifier. Was fun, but not adjustable and had issues (will explain in a sec)

3. Banks 6 Gun. My EZ put out more power and same milage, but took less than 2 minutes to install.

4. Quad race box. Loved the way this box ran, but wanted more and had issues later.

5. Added VA duration box. Good box by itself, got hotter then hell with Quad.

6. TST/TS stack. I'm in love! Tons of adjustable power and fuel milage I can't beat with a VW! Just unreal! Won;t get ridd of it!

Issues I had were due to a faulty Fuel Pressure Sensor. Replaced mine and have had no issues to date. That said, I love my current config. I bought the TST with gauges, and you can set your egt limits yourself, instead of it being set by someone who drives a Toyota to work. I am not a fan of Banks, but I am one of the few with reason. I tried their products (twice) and will not try their electronics again. And, for the price of the 6 Gun you can get the TST with gauges (new). I got mine on ebay for 450. Install was pretty much the same if not worse than the TST. Milage beats the Banks by a long shot. Yes the EGT limiting worked well, but you can't adjust it. I like chioces, and the TST gives em to ya. And, I saw lower EGTs at a given speed with a load than the Banks. For example. My 5th wheel is about 13K. Now, woth stock tires i was into the 1325-1350 range with the Banks at bout 50-55 in 5th gear. TST, 65, 6th gear, 35" tires and 1150-1200 degrees. Did I mention I got like 2 MPG better than the Banks? I know I am happy with my final chioce. At 500-1000 bucks for a chip, think about it and see what people say. There are alot of Banks haters hear, some with good reason, and there are some lovers here. I have my opinions and those are mine. I have tried to show you the facts of what I found from my own use. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure the stock 48RE is ready for more horsepower when towing 14K. I'd be concerned. I have a buddy with an EZ and he's smoked the T/C clutch pulling 14K. Granted, he drives hard, and you were gentle you might be OK.

I'm going to stay stock for towing with my 48RE. These trannys are expensive to repair or replace.

I was thinking of getting TST for control on HP-Tq or using a box like Edge Juice or Quadzilla then a Dn loader like Bully dog Pup to get low end response, w/hi end rpm power (hp). . Im iching to get a box, love that power when stomping on the go button. .

Having my past experiences, I think the tst is the way to go. If you want more bottom end than the twins program would be best, just beware of temps. Yuo will just have to learn what settings you can use safely. The big thingis you back down power till you upgrade the trans with a valve body or converter and still get the mileage increase!
