which programmer for 2006

just got a new 2500 ctd with auto trans. it feels sluggish out of the hole, I was wondering what electronics I could put on it for now? I plan on putting an ATS torque converter on it within the next year. so if I could run something at a lower setting until then and then bump it up later that would rock Oo. if anyone has any suggestions THANKS

I have the edge it gives plenty of juice big change in acceleration especially in the tow haul mode it seems to take off when third locks up. I have not run the other boxes and it only took about 45 minutes to install all connectors were mated to the factory connectors no spliced wires easy to remove when going to the dealer found the best price at autoanything.com

The dealer also had a couple of flashes for the computer that affected the shift points in the transmission when I complained of down shifting problems these also made a big difference. Kevin

I want to put on exhaust, but I do not want it very loud. so far I have not been able to find anything that I like. so with that said can you run these programers with factory exhaust? thanks Kevin

yes you can if your going to stay stock the edge juice w attitude will work great on your 06, or something else that monitors egt's Oo.

My '06 has done perfect since the EZ was installed. Not a single hickup. :-laf

The stock exhaust is 4" already, so you'll be ok with a chip or programmer. Like Wade said, get something that monitors EGTs, or plan on getting an EGT gauge.

The SRT pillar is a popular option. it is a factory dodge pillar with the grab handle and wil mount a single gauge. nice and clean.

Thats what im gonna do! Im gonna go with the Danin Optix gauges, and then get the Smarty when it comes out and then TST and then... ... ... .

Be sure and ask for the full sweep trans temp gauge, I just got mine from Rip it is much better than the standard gauge!
