Retractable tonneau cover

Hello guys

I am looking for retractable tonneau but don´t know which one should i choose?

Help from local dealers here in Austria is very poor:confused:

Are the roll n lock products better than the pace edwards covers?

What experiences do you have with your covers (watertight, lockable,. . )?

Thanks for any informations,

greetings Marcus

mhrbek... I have a pace edwards model and have had on for two years. . No problems so far. . I routinely put Amoral type products to keep it looking good and not allowing the vinyl to dry out. They are lockable, however, it is not ment to put the family jewels in it for security. You will have to purchase a locking tailgate assembly for better security. The top rolls up in a canister, which has drain tubes in it to drain any water that gets into the canister. The top itself is not waterproof, although, light showers and snow usually don't get inside. If you drive through a car wash or just pressure wash your truck, it will leak. (no big thing). Its great for trips, I usually put things in a rubber/plastic container if I think the weather is going to get real bad, and it keeps it dry from dirt etc.

thanks steve,

do you have the roll top cover or the jack rabbit?

Can I use my Bed Caps with the cover or must i remove them?

Saw your truck at readers rigs :) great! like the colour

I have a 10 year old Pace Edwards roll top on my 67 Chebby PU. A friend of mine has a roll n lock cover on his GMC that is about 7 years old. I like his better. No vinyl to deteriorate and his tracks are smoother.

I just installed a Rolltrax on a friends Furd. Dunno how it will hold up as it his new, but I like it and looks like a quality piece. maybe something to look into.

Mhrbek... I have the roll top cover. I'm not sure what the difference is between it and the Jack rabbit? Mine is a manual system, and if you want to spend the bucks, you can get one that is automatic and has a lite! If your bed caps are smooth, ie. not the checkered type you can use them. . I had the smooth chrome ones on and the top fit with no problems...

Good luck!
