In the back of my owners manual one can order a service manual for $90. 00,doesnt say if it covers chasis and engine, also seen on net, dont remember where but they had service manuals for around the same money, didnt say what it covers. I would like one for the chasis and the cummins engine, any thoughts as to the best or are they all the same?

manual

I ordered the one out of the back of the owners manuel. Its a 2 volume set with each volume being about 1500 pages. Its covers just about EVERYTHING including Cummins engines. It also has chassis ( i think), suspensions, trans and spot weld points ( if u are so inclined) along with TONS of other stuff. There has NEVER been a thing that I needed to know or find out that was not in these books. They appear to be a "shop" type manuel with step by step instructions and figs/drawing on just about everything.

I also have the CUMMINS ISB base engine manuel ( off of CUmmins power store) its a good trouble shoot and repair manuel for the ISB/QSB engines and the Custom Parts catalog, also from Cummins. That one is pretty cool. Send in your engine serial number and they sent back a catalog with you name and engine specific info in it with all part specific to YOUR ACTUAL ENGINE. It was only $55 in think. It is however only parts and diagrams of parts.

I also have the Cummins Fuel system trouble shoot and repair but the bulk of this one u need all the computer software for codes and hooking up to the PCM/ECM. It does have good trouble shooting "trees" in it though.

Hope this helped ( and did not make it more confusing).
