What is the difference between smarty pod, revo, and tnt, i am confused. . i have a 05 2500 4x4 , daily driver, but want to start upgrading shortly. .

Revo and TNT are software for the Smarty.

Revo is for daily drivers and mildly modified engines. It starts at 30hp and has 10 levels up to 170hp or 230hp depending on your MY. I use Revo SW3 with TQ2, TM3 and RP1 and love it. It allows you to customize many parameters compared to the old Smarty SW.

TNT is for highly modified engines and also uses Revo for the parameter options; aftermarket valve springs, ported heads, head studs, big turbos, dual turbos, large injectors, etc. It starts at 100hp and goes up to 230hp.

POD is Power on Demand and its the Smarty hardware. It allows you to load up whatever software level you want and then dial it up or down in 99 increments on the fly. It costs a little more than the standard Smarty HW, but is very usable.

I have the S06 w/o POD, only b/c I purchased my Smarty before they offered POD.

Hope this helps,

Louis

You can also change software using your pc, so you can go back and forth between the standard Revo, and TNT Revo, there is also a TNT-R but your truck has to meet certain parameters before you can run it safely.

If you purchase the Smarty from Bob Wagner, he will send it with the software of your choice. Then you can download the other softwares off the Mads website to your pc, and you can change softwares at will.

I have an old S-04 Smarty with many software choices on my pc, so alot of different tunes available as long as I do not download the latest softwares, if I would do that, I can't go back.

I believe I would order the TNT Revo(you have an 05) with the POD, that way you can find the sw# level that suits your truck's mods the best, and then just dial it back from 100% to whatever in 1% increments, for your daily driver.
