Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) which south bend clutch?

I have noticed lately that my stock clutch is slipping more and more and it is time for a new one. I hear good things about south bend clutches and I know I don't want to back with just a stock one. I don't pull a gooseneck trailer but I do occaisionaly pull a big bumper hitch camper and a 16' atv hauler. I don't drag race or plan on major power upgrades. I want to end up with probably stage two or three jammer injectors and maybe a slight single turbo upgrade in the future. I don't know which SB to choose and who to get it from. The truck is in the shop apart now so any help would be appreciated.

I have the steel Dual Disk with a 3850 plate load and it dosnt slip but it isnt real road friendly. It is in a 99 with 80 horse sticks comp box smarty fass fuel. I have never had it slip. It is very solid but pricey. I purchased mine from enterprise engine perf. but that was just becuase i live 30 minutes from their shop and i didnt have to pay for shipping. Mine cost about 1850 with tax a new slave cylinder. Which was pretty cheap. South Bend has a great reputation and seem to work with you. PM me if you have any questions

Ditto on what zstroken said assuming you stick with your power plan. If you really deep-down-in-your-heart know that you WILL go down that slippery slope then go with the SBC DD series. I have a few friends with DD's, all are street driven and even their girlfriends and wives drive them with no problem.

I have the Con OFE and have had 0 problems. I consistantly pull a gooseneck with around 10 to 12 thousand pounds on and have never had a problem.

At least your on the right path with South Bend. You need to honestly look at what your going to do. I tried the SBC single disc Feramic. That is an onery, difficult clutch for street use. It works, and I grew to love it because nobody else could really handle my truck. There is NO slip though. Well, until it slips. Then its all over. I now run a 3850 DD. I am also right at 500HP and should soon be near 600hp. It has just a little slip so you can get going without snapping your neck. It does require a hydraulic upgrade that is no big deal to do. I like it for what I do and for the power level I want.
