Getting ready to insatll the Dynatrac Freespin kit and Carli balljoints next week that have been sitting in my garage for 6 months--Oo_Oo.

While going over the truck today to make a list of parts/supplies that I need to get, I noticed that my sway bar end links were bent.

I want to replace them while I am doing the other front end work, but can't decide which ones to buy. My truck is STOCK height.

While I can afford $200 for the Carlis or Pure Performance links, after reading some threads, I am NOT sure that I want to upgrade to the heim joint links, as it seems like those can begin to bind after time. SOOOOOOOOO...what are you guys using and liking for sway bar end links that have seen use on your 4wd truck for AT LEAST a couple years --

Maxx links-- http://www.genosgarage.com/MAXX-LINKS-SWAY-BAR-LINKS-06-10-4WD/productinfo/SMX-1227/#.UxaTAygWwqY

BD Links-- http://www.genosgarage.com/BD-SWAY-...00-00-09/productinfo/BD-1032050/#.UxaOhygWwqZ

Synergy links (not sure if they'll fit stock height) -- http://www.cjcoffroad.com/Synergy_Manufacturing_Dodge_Ram_Sway_Bar_End_Links_p/ppm-dodge-sbl.htm

TopGun links-- http://www.topguncustomz.com/p-7881...8-10-dodge-ram-25003500-4x4.aspx#.UxaPmCgWwqY

PP links -- http://www.8lugtruckgear.com/Dodge-...Pure-Performance-Sway-Bar-End-Links-p390.html

Carli links-- http://www.carlisuspension.com/dodge-ram/components/endlinks.html

Opinions please??

Any other link links (lol) ??

I have the Maxx Links but have read that they will break with a lot of articulation. If I had it to do over I would probably get the BD parts. They aren't much more than the ML's and their design is far Superior.
But I'm not much of a off-roader.

Scott

Scott, while I am not much a fan of BD products, their links DO look like a nice design...I AM concerned a little about the quality of their castings...will call Genos in the morning and ask about them.

Anyone else??

I have the MAXX links and no issues. Fixed the problem I was having. I also think the BD's are a better piece and as much as it pains me to give them money might do it anyway.

LOL...just orderd the BD's from Genos this morning for $109...for $20 more then the Maxx links, and yet half the cost of other high end end links, it's a no brainer...maybe BD got this one right!!

I have the MAXX links, I have yet to read a bad thing about them and I have seen threads with broken BD links.

Well where the hell were you last night when I needed to know this..lol;

I asked Genos about the BD and they didn't know of any that had broken, I searched the web also, couldn't find anything about them breaking
...got a link just for curiosities sake??

Now I understand why the swaybar links look so ridiculous when my truck is up on the hoist. They are all bent to hell. I just assumed that whomever put the 2-3" lift on my truck before I got it, had no idea what they were doing, but apparently this problem is more common than I thought. I just ordered the BD links from Geno's. Hopefully that will make me less nervous every time I look at the front suspension. The next problem for me to address is the ball joints. How do I know what ball joints to use, and are there some that are better than others? When I've searched it, I find a bunch of alternatives.?.

If you only want to replace the bj's once, it is best to use either Carli or DynaTrac balljoints...most all the others, including XRF, contnue to fail at rates comparable to or even quicker than the oem bj's. If you factor in the cost of labor to replace the bj's, the Carli or Dynatrac are NOT that much more expensive as compared to having to do the job again and likely aagain, depending on how long you own your truck, what your suspension/wheel mods are like, and also how/where you drive. The Carlis have a lifetime warranty and the dynatrac are rebuildable. I went with the Carlis.

Let me see if I can find one of them. I am pretty sure I know where one is, the bolt snapped during install.
