What Model NP-205 Transfer case with a Right Hand Drop will bolt up to a 1999 Dodge NV-4500 4x4. _ Or what other Part Time T case with right hand drop will bolt up to the 1999 Dodge NV-4500 4x4 transmission ?_ Please give model info and what vehicles used the suggested T Cases so I can go shopping froa NP205 or NP241 that will work.

Don... the big bummer is that since Chevy nixed the straight axle... . they have been using all driver's side pumpkins for the front IFS diff. '73-'87 1/2, 3/4 tons were straight axle passenger side pumpkin... . then '88-present are IFS with driver's side pumpkin.

Some heavy 3/4 and all 1-tons switched to IFS in '92. The sport-utility vehicles (K5 Blazer/Jimmy, and all Surburbans) were straight axle until '92.

You might be able to get an NP-205 out of a '73-'91 1-ton Chevy to work... call Advanced Adapters to see if they have an adapter to hookup the NV4500 to the NP205. I wouldn't be surprised if they had one..... they have a lot of neat stuff.

Just get a ProFab and get it over with... :D

you need the transfercase out of a first gen truck with a getrag the auto 's transforcase has the wrong size input shaft in it you can change it out but your better off to try and find a getrag's transfocase George

Yep.....

what 83 CC said. '89 to '93 CTD truck with a standard trans.

I might add, it bolts right up to the NV4500, but you will need two things. First, make sure you get the drive sleeve from the original 205 transfer case, it will work perfectly between the two. Second, pull the rear output seal from the NV4500, and make sure you silicone or otherwise seal where the cases bolt together. You will still have the seal in the input shaft side of the transfer case to prevent cross-contamination of fluids. I run the same oil in both for even more peace-of-mind.

Okay - if it's the passenger's side then he might not be able to use a 1st-Gen NP205. (The 2nd-Gen 4x4 pumpkin is on the driver's side..... but we all knew that anyhow... )

I was making assumptions that "1999 Dodge NV-4500 4x4" meant that he was trying to put an NP205 into a 2nd-Gen truck..... the year, make, model of the truck he's trying to stuff the NP205 into is needed. We can't continue making assumptions... . :p :)

The Cummins is going into a 1943 Dodge Carryall with Right side front differential. _

Already have the Cummins, Flywheel housing, Bell Housing and NV-4500. _

Need a NP-205 T case with a right hand drop to mate to the NV-4500. _ Is there a better T case to mate to the NV-4500 with right hand drop?

Ford np 205 has driverside drop for a driverside pumpkin

Chevy and dodge np 205 have passenger side drop for passenger side pumpkin.

Now like above 1st gen np205 has a passenger drop will bolt up, but otherwise both above are also made in a divorced setup which might be easier and less costly with no adapters.

sorry the righthand stuff above, and everyone else has me confused.

That said I believe in '80 chevy went to a slip sleeve rear output, and in i believe '87 went to a different bolting pattern that was round.

Fords I have not a clue about.
