Which trans line is the hot one?

Which 1/2" line on the passenger side of the trans is the hot line to put the trans. temp sensor in?

The front one(closest to the motor / bellhousing) is the output line or in your case the hot line going to the cooler.

Yes,its the front one,on the drivers side in front of the shift linkages. The return is at the back,where the OD unit bolts onto the maincase.

With the truck cold, hold the brakes on and warm the transmission up a little using the throttle. You should be able to feel which one is warmest.
