Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Which transmission????? / EGR???

Hey guys. Need some help with some info on my truck. How do I tell which transmission is in my truck? My truck also has California emissions system (EGR) ?

Is there any way to get rid of this system? I heard that it robs horsepower. Any help would be appreciated.

You should have a 47RE 4spd auto.



You can pick up a non EGR intake horn and exhaust manifold and swap out yours to get rid of the EGR. I think you can also make a blockoff plate for the exhaust manifold side so you only need a intake horn which can be had pretty cheap.
