Which line is it that the transmission temp sensor goes into? I'm about to leave on a 700 mile trip tomorrow to Iowa from Colorado, and my truck has decided it evidently doesn't want to go. I parked it at home after work, and came back out to find a puddle of transmission fluid under it. One of the cooler lines has rubbed on the cross member under the engine, and has a hole in it. I guess better to find it now, than half way there. The line with a hole is on the drivers side, of the two and goes to the back of the transmission. I was just thinking since I'll have to replace it anyway, was hoping maybe it is the line that needs the sensor in it, and I'll just replace it with the line with the port for the sensor.

One more question, which year transmissions did that line come stock on? I remember reading on here a while back that it came on like a 97 I think. Hoping maybe the dealer will have one in stock and I can replace it in the morning. I tried search and couldn't find what I wanted, too many transmission threads... lol

Thanks,

Craig...

Never mind, did some more searching and found it. The hole is in the return line unfortunatly. It goes to the back of the transmission.

Bummer.

It was the '94-'95 MY trucks that had the cooler line w/port. The short flex hose comes that line. Mine was VERY stiff hard. New one one is a lot more flexible. Need to remove the rubber check ball in the flex hose. Not needed on the 47RE.

I put one on my '97. Have a P/N if you want it for later. I'd look the rest over as well. If they are getting flat spotted by the plastic clamps, you'll want to replace them as well.
