Hey guys,

I was getting ready to order the KDP kit from TST and saw that they have a kit with video and fuel plate ect. I was going to grind my own, but this doesn't seem like that bad of a price. My question is that most say I should go with the #10 plate to help the transmission for awhile, but the chart at the bottom says a #6 plate kit would be within specs... I think... unless I"m reading it wrong. Here's the link TST Power Kit without Video with KDP Kit - KDP 03 & IN. This is for a stock 94 2wd auto. Thanks:)

I would suggest you call TST and talk to Scott in Tech Support. He encouraged me to buy the #5 plate for my '98 12 valve with auto. I am extremely happy with the way the truck performs. Very simple install and minimum amount of messing with after install.

JHenry. .

The 8 plate for the 98 automatics and the 6 plate for the 94 Automatics are the same HP and Tq(230hp/605Tq).

I would call TST as they said and have them fill you in on your options. The 6 in your truck would be a safe bet for yours with a stock converter and still give you some power. 10 plate in a 94 Automatic is not recommended and would create EGT issues... ... ... Andy

I have an 8 plate in my signature truck, very happy with it, would not change it for any other. I think without gauges one could get into trouble with it though.

yeah I got some gauges I have to wire up here soon. Isn't it the lower the number the more power in the plate? I guess I will order the #6 plate and try that out... or... . just grind down the stock one;)
