Competition Which turbo.... again?...

I'm getting the ok, sorta, from the CFO (wife), for a turbo purchase for my birthday... Question is which one would you guys with experience recommend? I'm leaning towards a SPS62 from II, or maybe a Silver62. This is my daily driver and don't want too much more lag. I'd like to eventually be in the 600-700hp range, which shouldn't be too hard to accomplish. Any suggestions appreciated. I'd really like to go with compounds, but the lowest price would be ActicAir's at around $2800 and that's still too much of a stretch right now...

btw- meth/water, propane and/or nitrous isn't out of the picture either. :-laf

if asking about the 2005 go with a silver bullet that you will love and it will handle the hp level you want with great air and cooling.

What ar eyou gonna do with the truck?? Sled pull? Drag race? Or just drive it really fast back and forth to work?

Drag race occasionally. I'd like to see some good numbers on a dyno also... just for braggin' rights. I drive pretty conservatively on the street. But I like to feel the power sometimes... gets the blood pumping...

Like I said get a silver bullet especially if you are going to drag race htb2 and stuff won't get you what you want they spool up quicker but don't get you what you want for 1/4 especially if you want to run 12. 0.

Have you considered a Super Stock 62 or Quick Diesel 64 from HT. Awesome turbos! The SS62 on my truck is unbelievable..... instant 55psi boost & low temps to 100mph. I can't imagine a faster lighting turbo & I've tried HTB2 62/12, 62/14, 64/14 & none even compared to this turbo. I get 1200* max with everything in my sig & I tow daily too.
